If this picture doesn't show up, this entire blog will lose its punch, so I will attempt to describe the image... the new ELLE REALTY storefront sign is UP and with every letter 15" tall and the signage stretching about 13' across the brick facade of the building, it's definitely visible.  The tape that appears to be holding up the letters?  It's really just holding them in place... giving them each a chance to "catch on" while the silicon dries and they are permanently attached.  I'm inspired to write this by that tape, because it is symbolic of where we are with this move to retail space. We're here (our official opening is about a week away), the place looks great, and it's just a matter of time before things start to really stick. 

The tape represents all the supportive friends, neighbors, agents, business affiliates and family who have provided me encouragement, physical effort, and much needed items.  Just having a friend or neighbor drop in and say "Hello" has been an added boost to us, as we've painted, cleaned, measured, constructed walls, hung doors and made countless trips to Home Depot-- all the while continuing to show houses, deliver contracts to title companies and manage the daily business. 

We're working to announce ourselves to the community with an official opening event on Sunday, November 7th.  We have teamed up with several local businesses and professionals, and we're hosting a $1000 Give Away on Sunday, November 7th from 1 to 6 PM.  Nearly 2000 postcards are going out to the immediate area, and all anyone has to do to enter to win is bring their card by on that day.  No one has to stay and winners don't have to be present when we draw the winners names.  If you don't receive a postcard, you can enter by showing up on that day and filling out an entry form! I'll be posting prizes and links to the businesses that are helping with the event. 

The tape comes off the sign letters today, and we're hopeful that by the end of the day on November 7th, the tape will come off the business, too... and we'll be here for a long time!
